The Role
We're seeking a versatile Software Architect to join our climate tech startup. The ideal candidate will have a blend of architectural design skills, DevOps expertise, and hands-on software engineering experience.
Your responsibilities in AIRMO
Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Architect and scale the core data processing pipeline for geospatial and satellite data
- Lead DevOps initiatives, ensuring smooth deployment and operation of our systems
- Adapt and integrate existing scripts and notebooks into production-ready components
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to optimize our machine learning workflows
- Drive technical decision-making and best practices across the organization
What you should bring to AIRMO
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably GCP)
- Proficiency in Python and experience with data processing frameworks
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows and MLOps practices
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Nice to have
- Familiarity with geospatial data formats (GeoTIFF, NetCDF, etc.)
- Exposure to satellite imagery processing or large-scale data fusion
- Passion for working on products with meaningful real-world impact
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
