The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Data Research Assistant to join our Earth Observation team. The successful candidate will assist in processing and analyzing data collected from our airborne and satellite instruments. This is an exciting opportunity to work on most promissing environmental monitoring technology and gain experience in the field of remote sensing and data analytics.
Your responsibilities in AIRMO
- Process and analyze large datasets from airborne and satellite sensors.
- Develop and implement algorithms for data processing, including image processing and geospatial analysis.
- Assist in the development of data validation and calibration techniques.
- Work with the team to integrate data from various sources and ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Conduct research to support the development of new data processing methods and tools.
- Document methodologies, results, and maintain code repositories.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
What you should bring to AIRMO
- Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with data processing libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and SciPy.
- Experience with machine learning and statistical analysis is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Passion for environmental science and technology.
